Anthropic launches new push for enterprise agents with plugins for finance, engineering, and design

Anthropic has introduced its most aggressive push yet into enterprise AI with a new enterprise agents program, aiming to finally deliver on the promise of agentic AI in the workplace. The program allows companies to deploy pre-built agents using a plugin system for common tasks in finance, engineering, and legal departments. This initiative builds upon existing technology like Claude Cowork and the plugin system, focusing on easier deployment through private software marketplaces, controlled data flows, and customized plugins, offering IT departments expected corporate controls. The launch includes stock plugins tailored for specific departments and new enterprise connectors for systems like Gmail, DocuSign, and Clay, enabling agents to pull in direct data and context.
