This $7,999 robot will fold (some of) your laundry

The startup Weave is offering the Isaac 0 robot for $7,999 (plus a $250 deposit) to residents in the Bay Area who dislike folding laundry. This stationary robot takes between 30 and 90 minutes to fold a load, but it cannot handle large items like blankets or bed sheets, nor can it fold inside-out garments. Furthermore, the process is not fully autonomous, as teleoperators are available to assist with more challenging folds, although Weave anticipates performance improvements. Weave is one of several companies, including LG and SwitchBot, attempting to introduce chore-eliminating robots into homes, though the article suggests these robots may not yet be fully ready for real-world domestic use.
